Tanner&Taylor
DOB 01-28-2020
Chihuahua Mix
Tanner Male Taylor Female
$400 total adoption fee
Tanner is a 10lb, possibly Pomchi(Pomeranian-chihuahua mix), neutered male. He is good-natured, playful, spunky, alert, and affectionate. He is crate, leash, and house trained. He loves his walks, toys, and being a loving companion. Tanner loves the outside but will need supervision to avoid escaping. He is doing well with his "stay" and "come" commands, but could benefit from some basic training. This beautiful boy will make someone a wonderful addition to their family.
Taylor is a sweet diva girl and is a playful, 10lb chihuahua mix. It takes Taylor a couple of days to warm up to men. Once she does, she could not be more adorable, loving, and affectionate. She is house and leash trained, Loves her crate, walks, and toys, but most of all, just snuggling up with someone. She gets along fine with other dogs, and even though she is good with children, would do best with older children due to her small size. She is alert but doesn't seem to be much of a barker. She does great with her car rides. If you are looking for a well-behaved companion that you can take places with you, Taylor is your girl!

DOB 2-24-2022
Male
Lab/Hound Mix
Medium size
$350 adoption fee
This little guy was picked up from the shelter. The shelter triage reported he was extremely weak and unable to hold his body up even in a sitting position, covered in dried urine and feces, and emaciated. They gave him some fluids, a bath, vaccines, and asked for rescue. We stepped in, thanks to an available foster, and took him to the vet. With the love and care of his foster mom, Denali is showing no signs of body weakness. He is looking for a forever home with another dog sibling, a fenced-in backyard, and lots of love and play.

IVAN

One of the worst cases of neglect that we have ever encountered but Ivan is growing his beautiful new coat in and has a clean bill of health, vaccinated, neutered & microchipped and he's ready for his new life!
Ivan is estimated to be entering his senior years, very sweet & loving boy but isn't great with other cats. He is declawed (this was already done prior to Rescue).

layla
DOB 01/10/2014
American Pit Bull Terrier
Female
Medium $250 adoption fee
She's truly the perfect size for most homes. She's small enough that you can easily pick her up - 35 lbs. (and she doesn't mind being picked up when you need to do it), but has a "big dog" personality (not yappy or nervous at all). House-trained- crate-trained (but doesn't NEED to be in a crate - she's perfectly safe when left loose in the house)- peppy when she's outside, but calm inside the house- snuggly - loves to sit on your lap- playful - giver her a good toy and she's happy for a long time (heck, she's even happy to chase her tail if she's got no toys around)- adorable - her little tongue is too big for her mouth, so about an inch of the tip often hangs out; extremely cute- would love to get on the furniture, but doesn't mind when you say no (i.e., she listens to you)- food-driven, so she's good at training, but not so food-driven that she tries to get the food off your plate (see above she listens well)- only barks when she hears the doorbell or noises outside (in other words, not a nervous dog that barks at everything)- independent - she is not needy in the least; at the same time, she's loving and excited to see you/be with you when you come home Layla will do well with a house without children and will need a compatibility test with another dog. She gets along well with some and not so well with others
Shelby
DOB 12/03/2015
American Pit Bull Terrier
Female
Medium
$250 adoption fee
Shelby is believed to be a Labrador-Pittie mix, which is honestly a dream combination; the fun of a Labrador and the smushy cuddles of a pitty! Her webbed paws are hilariously big for her body, and she lives for a summer swim! Shelby is the type of dog that you’ll need an extra 5 minutes with. While we don’t know the details of her past, we do know that she had enough experiences with NC’s finest to distrust humans. Shelby might initially bark or do a little nervous jig, but this sweet girl emerges in just a few minutes and she is worth the wait! Shelby’s quote: “Forever is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning."

Dottie

American Bulldog
Female

$250 adoption fee
Surely you’ve seen Dottie’s beautiful face flash across this page a time or two. This gorgeous girl has been in rescue for far too long! Dottie is an American Bulldog Mix approximately 7 years old. She is deaf and will need a family that is experienced in dealing with a special needs dog. She is house & crate trained. Dottie is a great car rider and very sweet. She is currently fostered with other dogs but would she would probably be more at ease being the only dog in the family.

"Treasure"
Age 16 years
Anglo-Arab, Mare
Adoption fee TBD
We at Pawsitive Impact Dog Rescue are not strictly dedicated to just rescuing dogs, as every once in a while along comes other walks of life...Meet "Treasure". She is a 16 year old, 'flea bitten grey' color, Anglo-Arab mare available for adoption. Treasure is 15.2 hands high and absolultely NOT a beginner's horse. She spent most of her life as a beautiful pasture ornament and is NOT broken for riding, although she leads easily and behaves well for farrier and vet. She requires an experienced partner, as she is highly sensitive, but is sound, a lovely mover, and with patience and proper training, would be a nice riding horse. Treasure will stand all day to be groomed and gets very attached to her handler. She is an easy keeper, barefoot, and is up to date on all shots, farrier work, and deworming. She gets along well with her herd mates and is especially attached to donkeys. Lets face it, who wouldn't love a donkey!? Treasure will NOT go to anyone as a "project horse" and will only be adopted to a forever loveing home with a contract stating that she is not to be sold and will return to rescue if for any reason her partner would need to part with her.
